Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, the new update of the movie release has excited the fans for the upcoming movie.

On multiple occasions, Akshay has been asked about his upcoming movie with Shetty. With the same address, the 53-year-old actor spoke to Bollywood Life to give an update about himself. When asked when the movie will be shown, the actor immediately replied that he does not know what the release date will be. Nonetheless, he hinted at a possible date that the film would glow green for release on the big screen once theaters open in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is currently under a severe lockdown and only a few districts have been allowed to operate fully. Of the 36 districts in the state, 25 are enjoying the relaxation of lockdown, including the longest opening hours for malls, restaurants, saloons and gyms. Relaxation is effective in a few more districts including Mumbai, Thane, Nasik and Nagpur.

The director believed that the release of the film would depend on the opening of theaters in the cities. He also warned about the growing number of cases in the country and how the epidemic is not over yet. Shetty stressed the importance of vaccines and how they won the war against COVID-19. 

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Singh, Ajay Devgn and Javed Jaffrey will also be seen in important roles in the film. The film was supposed to be released on April 30 this year but has been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
